2 of the SOFAS will be mounted right under the roof and 2 of em will be mounted in the trunk to keep space for at least one suitcase! But if i find a solution for damping the doorslam when i close em i will mount one SOFAS each door and the 9´s in the legroom each side.

i wouldn't mount them in doors, sorting wiring would be a nightmare! then there's slamming the doors shut everytime you get in, can't be good for the components in the amp.. just a thought but would look sick

That is what my only concern is! But the Mercedes 600SEL has doors with a closing mechnism where u just lean the door on and a electric motor closes them the rest of the way! Looks like the door get´s sucked into place! And when mercedes did that what should be the problem to find a wreck and take the whole mechanism out and put it in the BMW´s doors?

I´m just wondering if the door´s are long enough and what kind of wires to use! Should be very flexible ones!

running wires in mercedes is tough enough to do just under the carpet with as tight as everything is put together. I am glad I am not the one that is going to make the power and signal wires try to go between the doors and not bind up. Lay out your power, ground, signal in and out wires and then try to picture that moving inbetween the space of your doors?

As my stash changed a little over the last month i decide to go a little different ways and changed my layout again.

I´ll still have the P9 combo as my headunit but u´ll find only one TIDD10 in my install. Also the MS-Distro i´m building will go into the car. Basscube for sure too! Downsized from 4 clones to two as i want to keep a little space in the trunk! My spare tire booth is exactly the right size for two clones 8)

The frequenzies will pending arround the following numbers:

Sub-------up to 65Hz
Kick-------60Hz to 275Hz
Mids-------260Hz to 3500Hz
Highs------3500Hz to 22000Hz

What if you can each clone off of each SOFAS bridged.(510 watts)
The 9's off of each (MS275) SOFAS bridged (260 watts)
Your mids off of FAS stereo (160 watts)
And your tweets off of FAS bridged (100 watts)

Clones are 8 Ohm drivers so u would be down to arround 250 for each one if u do so!

That is still the same as running the 2 together getting 510 watts on the 4 ohm load.
And there will be less current draw running the 8ohm load.

I don't see why you need the MQ side of the FAS for the tweeters. Wouldn't using the MS275 side of a SOFAS be more than enough?

I know you have another sofas available, and three sofas side by side would probably be the easiest to build.

That is because he wants to have fully active crossovers.

You could run fully active with the MS275 side as well.

So Joerg do you plan to bridge the MQ to the tweeters? If you do that I recommend you do it to the mids instead... they would benefit more from the added power. You will have to run a lot less power to the tweeters by comparison, in order to get a balanced setup.

I will bridge the 4 channels of the MQ430 to the tweets! I had my focal tweets running stereo of a MS275 and missed some benefits they are able to provide.

For the whole setup i´m running active this means

subs 255watts each
kicks 510watts each
mids 255watts each
higs 100watts each
