2001 Chevy crew cab

Post by smgreen20 »

This is a one of a kind truck. A friends shop is doing this install for a guy from Indy (COLTS town) for $8000. While I haven't done any of the custom work on it personaly, I do get to help put it back togather. When is another story.

I will post what pics I have of it later as I don't have the pics on my laptop.

This is a daily driver that is sporting tires that are @ 38" tall. I can't remember how tall he said they were. Custom under body, raised around 36".

What's inside. A Kenwood single din flip out monitour controlling the Kenwood 5.1 processer and 2 Kenwood class D amps and a 4 ch Kenwood amp doing the 4 doors. Oddly enough, no center channel.

9 monitour in total. 1 in the back of each front seat (2) the HU (3) 1 on each side of the center console up front (5), 1 on each of the rear doors (7) 1 on the head liner (8) and 1 in the middel of the center console (9) for a total of nine. He has plans (already started) on putting a 42" LCD HDTV in the bed that'll flip up.

Alpine seperates in the front doors in custom pods, and Alpine Coaxs in the rear doors in custom pods. Two 10" Alpine Type X subs in a ported box. What the size is and what it's tuned to????

Air brushing all over the side of the center console, soon to be amp shrouds and a few parts under the hood.

3 Yellow tops in the bed, and 1 under the hood.

Enough stobes to make you go into seizures.

The head liner is what's holding the project up. Went to 2 of the areas best apulstry shops and they both screwed up the head liner. The 2nd guy even had the odasity to say, "I didn't know you wanted it PERFECT!". It's now being glassed and should be ready to go in this weekend. I should have the finished photos then. I hope. I have to work at my 2nd job this weekend.

I do have a few pics now, just on the other computer.

They're of the console and door panels. Nothing installed till that headliner is finished.

I promise, I will post what I have tomorrow just before the NASCAR race starts.

Unfort for me I had to work the night they put the truck back togather. I didn't get any finished install pics, but I got what I could of the process.

I'm at the 2nd job currently, so on Sunday before the race, I'll post what I managed to get.
