Glad you guys enjoy with me!
And all this started by accident.....
After suddenly selling my best Denon home-amp, I found myself without a home-amp to play music with.
So I just took one of the MS2125's from the "tower of power" in my spare bedroom, connected it to a car battery, and HELL!.... it sounded better!!
This is the result so far.
If your in Holland this May Tom; come over and listen to it.
Compared with what you heard last time, this will make hhmmm..., let's just say a huge upgraded system.
Just listened to it with my wife, and she agrees that it sounds better than the last amps I used.
[if she can hear it, she is either trying to please me, OR it does REALLY sound a lot better! ]
Last thing is to make the interlinks as described, and then enjoy it......while designing the next project.
You're all welcome to come over and listen to it, while enjoying a
[after all it's the SECOND best beer in the world what our Belgium neigbours brew!].

That's an interesting setup. Creative too.
I wouldn't have thought to use car amps to run a home system; then again, I've never had any cause to before.

Are there any advantages to using car amps like this?

One is aesthetics. The MS amps sure do look beautiful in that setup!

There are more reasons to use these car-amps in my home-setup.
First is; why collect them, and stash them away somewhere in your home where you can't enjoy them...?
Second; these amps sound very good compared to a lot of home-audio gear that is on the market today; I would have to spend a LOT more money to get this sound with high-end stuff powered by the wall-socket.
Third; amongst high-end fans, it is well-known that the power from any wall socket is a very contaminated one, when looked at what it carries with it ,into your equipment.
Looking at setups which are reviewed as the best sounding in the world, You will see either a huge[very costly] power-filter [or more; one for each unit], OR; amps, and pre-amps WORKING ON BATTERIES!.
I have been listening to different setups, and components for many years [mostly changing setup 5-8 time a year], but after listening to these amps, I was surprised right away.
Fourth; [and last  ]; I can keep on experimenting with different amps; for each glass plate in my audio-rack has it's own power-connection, and rca cables just run through the middle.
That's what's FUN about in this hobby; I'M NEVER DONE!!!
Thanks for sharing the fun,
nico

HEHE!! It's playing already.....
This amp is even more powerfull than my first one; I had to adjust the gains of my pre-amp.
Also noticable ofcourse, is this amp runs warmer than the other.
I asked Eric about the amp before I bought it, and he told me that besides his custom-made transformers, and the higher rail voltage, he changed the pre-amp section to "in theory"play down to DC.
In my setup it will not have to, since that part is taken care of by the other MS2250.
I have a wonderfull idea about displaying them both....will be back.
[when my marriage survives this]
