If you want big low bass, you should consider possibly a different PG amp to push some RSdC12 subs.
500W on an RSdC12 will be pretty damn good especially in any more SQ oriented install but if you want that really heavy bass you will need more power and likely more woofers.
I run my RSdC124s sealed but I hear they sound amazing ported as well.
If you're not going for that crazy SPL bass, you should be fine with one or two RSd or RSdC subs. The original RSd will want larger boxes, the RSdC will want smaller ones. I think the RSdC are overall better. They sound tighter and don't mind gettin rowdy, even off the ~200W they are each seeing in my install.

really depends on alot of things....are you kool with running your amps at 2 ohms? can the charging system handle the extra strain? i would go with 4 subs on 2 amps and grab a 4 chan.amp for the rest of the speakers. ie: kick pods and doors.lafarah2 wrote:so what would you advise one sub to a amp or 2 i also have a basecube , linedrive , capacitor 1 farad , crossover all phoenix?
you have a good start with the things you have so far, but someone had said more power is needed for big bass and he's so correct. go as big as you can wattage wise the first time you do the system, and then you may be satisfied for awhile. good luck with the project you have come to right place.
nice ride!!!
screw car audio, I'd rather go fast....errr, wait a minute.

as a fellow hip hop head, definitely go with the rsdc sub, run it in a box ported to around 30-34hz. the xenon are a sq sub that NEED a dedicated midbass up front. they also are not very efficient which means although they sound good, will not be as loud with the same amount of power. AND they need a HUGE box to sound right.
the rsdc are MONSTERS and as far as im concerned have NO weaknesses. they are efficient, VERY quick, play VERY low, have an amazing range, and don't need a large box.
a single rsdc12 off that amp in a nicly ported box should be good for close to 140 db on the dash
DO NOT run the xs2500 at 2ohms. they won't make any extra power, draw a TON of currant, and will get hot enough to probably grill a steak on. so you will need the rsdc12d2
after that, you can save the other xs2500 for a set of rsd components in the front and you will be set.
those are great amps, but you do need to be careful with them. i definitely recommend using the cap for your sub amp and make sure you mount the one you use for the sub (both if possible) so that the fins can vent the heat created. if you mount them horizontal, or upside down they will get very warm
if you are using a newer deck, you probably wont need the line driver.
also, the crossovers in them are pretty decent, but depending on what version of the xs2500 they are, they probably have a crossover that is not adjustable without switch the chip (not a big deal, but you have to find the right one)
so because of that, it may be worth using the crossover you have. which one is it?
