i have been keeping my install progress secret for a while now (except for locals) bu its finally coming to a near end. i just need to buy some Alcantara and build a false floor.

so the equipment is:

Kenwood x791
tld66
ti elite 6" set
tidd10AL
xenon200.2
xenon 600.1
rsdc122

the kicks up front haven't changed: although i did run new JL 12awg cable. it was probably no necessary. but the old cable had a couple splics in it. now there are none

also most of you have seen the sub box build from the dcon12 test

The old amp and accessory rack were WAY heavy. so to keep weight down i moved away from mdf slabs. and started using 1" strips of birch plywood to make shapes.

the accessory rack (which will also hold 2 ti rmd's that arent show yet)

to make this shape i built 2 squares to mount the ti crossover and tidd10 to from behind. then i stretched tshirt around them and behind the side bolsters in my car then covered the folding rear seats in blue tape...covered the tshirt in resin, and slammed them shut. they pressed into the tshirt and stretched it to their shape and then i added mat from behind (i wish i would have got more pics of this part.

after that i added some mat to the front of the tshirt (not much because i wanted enough room for the seats to close) bondo and puttied it smooth (ish). next i spreyed a heavy layer of cascade sprey sound deadening on it to make sure it didnt rattle

and no its awaiting suede you can also see the holes for the rmd's

next came the amp rack....which had always been a problem for me. i wanted it to show all my gear, but also be light and compact.

so i started with the same 1" strip to create shape idea and attached everything onto ofthe case the covers my fuel pressure system (sounds dangerous, but there is a TON of room beneath it.

as you can see, i crammed everything down there and can add a false floor with a plexi glass window over the to of everything

oh...and of course the i loaded the pics backwards!

Aww you should've waited 1.5 weeks to surprise us Brian

I guess that means you'd better be finished with the suede and false floor when we get there!

Do you want me to bring my RTA?
