4 RSDc 10"
4 RSDc 10"
Here is the box with my 4 RSDc finished, I`m wating for a Sundown SAZ3500D but until then i will use the RSD1200.1
Each chamber is 18,5 liters so with the speaker in it its approx 16 liters netto.
I have not tested it yet, i call it a day and i will connect the amps tomorrow but all of it is in my car now so its just the cables left.

I hope it will hurt a bit yes
it was the plan all from the beginning. These are replacing 4 Alpine Type R 10" so i am a little corius about the difference, i sure hope these will play better so all this work i worth it.
These are dual 4ohms (104) so i have connected the voicecoils on each speaker in serial so each speaker is 8ohm. Then all 4 speakers is connected in parallell so this will give a total of 2 ohm. I have just one RSD1200.1 so it will feed them with 300-350W each. I have bought a Sundown Audio SAZ3500D and this will give approx 2200W at 12V@2ohm so i guess it will give approx 2500W at 14Volt@2ohm and that should be about a perfect match with the 4*600WRms RSDc`s.
But now i have to go out and do some work in my car

personally I like to be pounded by subs...heavy kidney shots lol, thats why I run 2-15's. I'm either gonna go for 4-12's (Rsd's) or step up to dual 4ohm 15's one for each sub.
this won't be till next summer but looking at my options right now. hope it deliver's what you after, GL.

screw car audio, I'd rather go fast....errr, wait a minute.
@Misfire, yes they are good looking, the SQ is just wonderful but the SPL is not quite what i was hoping for.
@Stryker, i agree with you about getting pounded, earlier i used to have 12" but the inner space in my old Volvo 740 trunk is just 11" high so i had to go down to 10" I hope when i double the power with a new amp and getting them breaked in that i will get some more SPL
Anyway.. next summer i will have to buy a new car so i guess i will have to buy one with room for 12"`s or 15"`s

hmmm , not too sure about 12's I had a whole bunch Of different one's back in the day but once I made the jump to 15's there was no turning back. give them some break in time, Also you're not giving them all that much power at the moment...wait until you hit em' with the sunfire amp. should bump harder at that point. keep us posted.

Actualy i started with a Cerwin Vega XL15 in the early 90`s and it really hit hard yes so maybe CV should be the next.... a couple of Stroker 15
But i should give the RSDc`s some weeks to break in and some desent power with a new amp and then we will see. If not it just to find the saw and build something new
I will keep u posted about how thing are going. At least the SQ is fantastic.

port them and the loud bass will come. I hit 146.3 db's with my two 10's.

Was wondering if it's walled or something. it really depends on what meter. also was this with a test tone and what freq. that is real loud for just 2-10's. I want specific's like box size and tuning freq., size of port etc. not saying it's not possible, cause it is, just want clarification. who made the box? is it a spl box or sql.

Yeah its whats in my sig. I built the box. I used a 49hz test tone. I have many enclosures I just built for these specific subs. The one I hit 146.3db at was with my 1.61cuft tuned to 40hz enclosure. I could of being louder because I was trying to find the best frequency to burp at. My voltage was around 13volts when I did the 146.3db. It was all sealed up on the dash.
And I just found some more things out about my headunit. To make the sound louder. And I didn't turn anything up on the deck. I just got the deck not to long ago. And I believe it might of being a audiocontrol meter.
And just for your info. The last comp I went to I beat a guy with two 15" rockford t1's. Off a rockford power amp.

Its in my 2001 sunfire. I hope to get a blazer or new car soon. Thinking of doing 2 18" Xcons next on a sundown saz-3500d. Many people that sat in the car said they never heard any stereo louder then it. You could see my vids on you tube. Thats the old setup though.

don't forget that you aren't limited
to the diameter of your subs simply
by the height of your car's trunk.
Use some angles. Get creative. Fire them up,
fire them down. Can't wait to see pics!!!!

I would like to add an addendum to the statement above. You are limited by the height of your subs as well as by the size of the opening to the trunk. I say this because for example in my mustang I think you can measure almost 15" from the floor to the trunk, but only 13" on the size of the opening to the trunk. If you built a box for the 15" measurement you will never get it in the trunk..........12voltjunky wrote:don't forget that you aren't limited
