I actually like it alot. Simple and clean.... I like the amps out there on display like that.
Is there a trim panel that goes over the logo and the subs? I would build some kind of a box to go over the amps to protect them from milk and watermelons. Something creative that was made to look like a tool case or whatever...
But nice work nonetheless.
EDIT:
and the cover for the amps would attach using the same way as the amps stack on each other....

Very clean install. I'm not a big fan of the amps out in the middle of nowhere like that, but that's just my opinion.

Thanks for the comments guys!
The rest of the install is pretty basic. Just front components in the doors with plates and a little dynamat and a IVAW205 in the dash with ipod and sat. Nothing fancy.
He had all of the gear beforehand. I've installed a lot of Alpine in the past and honestly havn't been all too impressed with PDX/type X gear. The amps are small and do look nice, but they're kind of nutless for what they're rated for. The Type X subs aren't very efficient either. Overall it sounds allright, but nothing over the top. (these are 2nd gen subs)
He personally wanted the amps to be stacked, so I had to figure out a way to make it look alright without the trunk looking empty. This is where I came up with the STI logo idea. The blue suede looks nice especially when the doors are open as there's blue suede on the panels as well. I always add a little extra something when I do installs, and this was not exception. For the price of labor and the fact I only had about four days to complete, I think he made out allright.
