I outa rip all that shit out of the car and sell it. I'm tired of spending money on it.
What is going on with your logic? You have a 1985 car which you bought used in 2010 and it needs new tires, so now you think you should sell it? From the photos you posted the car looks pretty much flawless. Buy some new tires for it and be done with it.

I remember having to lift my 87 T-bird TC to fit the jack under it to change a flat. Plus having to go at angles to enter parking lots or rolling over speed bumps. I will never own a slammed ride again. And after the wife took the front spoiler off the t-bird didn't help my decision either.

And if the car has sat on those tires, in the same position, for years, you should have known the tires would be in need of replacement. Man I need to get my runner out of the garage this weekend!!

$216 is cheap, For the wifes car I had to pay $530 for four new and It was an 2006. And we bought it in 2009...... You shouldn't complaining too much. Your car looks awsome. It is 25 years old, There are going to be issues. If you dont want issues go buy a new car and pay the price for it.

How much money did u spent on the car the last 3 years? I guess nothing, because u are saying it just sat there. It´s very common for tires to go bad when just sitting and doing nothing for such a long time. Get some oil, an oilfilter and spark plugs as well and replace that too!!! Otherwise u´re going to kill "german engeneering in da house" pretty soon.

Watch the language. This is a public forum, and you seem to be the only one in this whole thread with foul language. Since this is text only, and we are not all sitting around a campfire chatting, you are just making yourself look unintelligent with these posts.

I have to say that I'd be happy with spending the money on tires......
Just wait until you have to take it to a shop for something major..... I think the Benz dealer shop rate is around $150 an hour these days......

I'm with the other guys in saying you should keep the car as it's sweet as hell for being 25 years old.....
Those tender little burgers with them little, itty-bitty grilled onions that just explode in ya mouth like flavor crystals every time you bite into one.. just makes me want to burn this muthafuka down.... Come on, Pookie, let's burn this muthafuka down!!!

my mustang runs 315's out back, any idea what a pair of 555 runs?

I hope you ran it every once in a while to keep the fuel fresh or the tires will be the least of your problems.

With you there ttocs my tires are $900 each on my Hilux. And $500 on my 3000gt, you've got it easy mate....

Back on topic I really don't like this install. But I do think it is well done and of course its Phoenix.... Its kind of ugly to me but I've always found that to be a good thing. Obviously there's those who love it - which makes it a great install.

If everyone thought it was just good... Then its just an average install.

*sigh*....

If that car wasn't in Texas I would feel obligated to come save it from you. What you are doing to that car is essentially like taking a serial-number-matching musclecar and installing a Toyota engine and Ronal Teddybears. Those wheels are SOOO wrong for a 190E...

That's a nice lookin truck though :)

scottx wrote:I was thining about putting stock springs on it and removing the lowering ones. I am NOT taking a sawzall to my car. If it was an inch higher it wouldnt rub.

But for the price of stock springs, I could just buy 2 lower profile tires and put them on the front. But then it would look stupid. So i'd end up buying 4 lower profile tires.. But that would be a waste since the tires on it are almost brand new. I'll figure it out.
Wouldn't it be easier and possibly cheaper to just buy 4 tires that fit your car instead of spending $150 on tires (and wheels) that don't fit properly and trying to make them fit? You're talking about putting the stock springs back on, which unless you have them already is more money to spend and more effort. By the time you get done getting the bigger tires to fit, you'll have more time and possibly more money into it than you would have if you just bought 4 tires that fit your car properly.
