curious why you cut the material out of the channels?
what else can I say I am a grumpy asshole most of the time.

I am not going to chance this floor getting wet and the water being trapped under there. A buudy of mine has replaced dozens of floor pans in these exact cars. Biggest problem from the factory he said, was they should have left these channels open.

We learn from our mistakes. :naughty:

You know I bought an original dynomat rubber roller about 10 years ago or more and I just found it the other day still brand new in the package never used it lol.

I just started back on my project today :D

I got the DD5 installed in the center console. I want all components hidden, to keep a stock low profile look. I did however want to be able to see the view window. Here is a pic of the console.

How is it to change the fuses now? They seem like they would be VERY difficult to access. That foam looks to be a little thick. Why even bother with it?

the console comes out with 4 screws, a fuse would prolly take 10 min or so :oops: no problem, the foam was used because the vynal had a large sunken rectangle without it. :doh: I tried a few ways to mount it, but the foam seemd to be the best choice.

I had the center cushion recoverd by a local shop, and I made a custom EQ cradle that bolts to the chasis of the car. This was the best place for access and it fit perfect. 8)

Then i used plexi with some neon string glued to the surface to give it a glow at night.
