Extreme Audio's 2010-11 Winter project car

Post by Jason84 »

Customer wanted a nice clean looking install nothing to crazy. So we just did a fiberglass amprack in the trunk and 2 12" Ti's firing into the cabin. We used a Ti1500.1 and ti600.4 for amplifiers.

Just a few pictures of the finished product.

can't get much smoother then that mang.

So what is your honest opinion on the new amps? I have been dying to hear one to make my own assesment but unfortunatly I have to live vicariously through pics and descriptions. If you had to compair it to another line pg or otherwise what would you put it up aginst?

I really like the new amps. Good clean sound and the 1500.1 powers 2 ti's perfectly.
As far as the 4 channels in this car we just have them on alpine type R components up front and type R 6x9's in the rear. They sound really good and put out a good amount of power(more then you need on type R's) and clean sounding. We have not yet hooked them up to any high end components yet. I have boston acoustic SPZ's in my truck I was thinking of maybe trying out one of the new SD 500.4 on those ( I have an alpine PDX-F4 right now). We have done a few cars with the boston SR series with the ti600.4 and the clarity is incredible for the price of the amplifiers. Morgan did a good job with the amplifiers and finding all the right parts for them for the right prices.

Its hard to get back to the old school days with all the price changes in parts. But for the price I dont think these can be beat.

This customer plays his music very loud to so it was fun tuning it in for him we almost went deaf but we got it sounding good. And he is very happy with the setup.

He came in with all kenwood stuff and we converted him over to almost all phoenix gold.

I wish they would come out with some big subs and high end components and PG will beable to fullfill anybodys needs !

heres a quick picture i snapped for ya comparing the ti600.4 to the new SD500.4
take in the factor the 500 is held away from the 600 so it looks a little bigger then it really is.

Holy :? was it necessary to make the trunk completely useless? This must not be a daily driven car.
I mean not too bash at all, but it is only 2 amps and those trunks are fairly large. Seems like a waste of space to me. :|
I would have done a false floor to keep some usable space.
screw car audio, I'd rather go fast....errr, wait a minute.

The trunks are actually a lot smaller then you think once you get the box in there. We were going to do the amps along the sides but they wouldnt even fit. So we changed our plans and went with this route
