Install in Progess
Hi,
This is my first post on this forum but I have posted many times on the soundbuggy forum. Please give me some feedback on the progess of my install and hopefully it will be finished by early next month.
The following is the list of equipment I have which is going to be installed in the car:
Headunit: JVC KD-AVX2
One MS1000 (Modified) will power:
Pair of PG Ti9 Mids (front foot wells) and
One Ti5Comps Elite (Ti5Mid in doors and tweeter in kicks)
One PG Ti1200.1 AL will power:
One Ti12D Elite subwoofer
One PG Titanium Ti500.4 will power:
One Ti6Comps Elite (rear for 5.1 surround)
Plus (Still thinking about) a Ti5mid and maybe tweeter - Centre Channel
Also I have:
One PG TiDD10
One PG 20 Farad Powercore
One AudioControl 6XS crossover (for MS1000)
One YellowTop D34 battery in front
One D31 Yellowtop battery in rear
One PG TiDeq Equalizer
All PG ARX.800 series RCA cables
Two 9" LCD Headrests
1/0 gauge from front to back
One Wrangler NW 225 Amp Alternator
One Stinger 200amp Relay Isolater
Second Skin Damplifier Pro Sound Deadening
And here are a couple of pictures of the install and hopefully when it is completed by early next year, I will post all construction and install pics.
More pics later,

Yes the alternator is a Wrangler NW 225 amp and you should listen to those 9"in a proper 0.4 cu.ft enclosure and in the kick "wells" they really make the sub bass seem its coming from the front.stipud wrote:That alternator looks familiar. WranglerNW?
9" midbass on the floor man are you nuts?

EDIT: Forgot to mention that is Dr. Fosgates Modified MS1000, I said it would be in good hands, .

Because of your recomendation on the SB forum I went for a wrangler alternator and on its birthsheet it does 234 amps at maximum. Stan helped me out and what a great guy he was. And since the install is not complete, for the Ti9mids I am going to put a red 3mm plexi grill over it and I will bypass in the door circuit so when the door is opened there will be leds flashing on the grill so you know there is a speaker there. I have so much left to do and also ideas which are first times, ie i've never seen them done before.stipud wrote:Sweet, we're alternator buddies
So how do you keep the "birds" from stepping in your midbass?

Your are right about the tweeters they will go in the kicks but the ti5 will go in the doors. With alot of thought the enclosure for the Ti5 will be incorporated in the door (not the door cards) and they will be angled. There will be a grill in the door card made of plexi for air movement. So the Ti5 will not be touching the door car thus less vibrations in the card itself.dedlyjedly wrote:looking good haz. but how come you're not putting your midranges in the kicks with your tweets? you know you wanna.
and where in the hell did you get a ti1200.1al!? i MUST have it.... how about I find you a nice t1200.1 case to match your other titanium equipment!
And sorry the Ti1200.1 AL or its case are not for sale.

your mids would really appreciate it if you mounted them in the kicks with your tweeters. this would likely benefit you in the form of path length distances and help the separate components to blend better with one another.
and your ti1200.1al case would also appreciate a home with some of its own kind! let me know if you decide a normal steel case will be good for you.
