Wow had a BIG day today...
Got the bottom box pretty much finished, built up a frame to hold things in place while building the top box, and started the top box!
Pics!!!

Re: Phoenix Gold Oz - Astra Demo Car
OK so I finally pulled out my finger and figured out the basics of Google Sketchup!
Here's what the 'concept' for the box design is...
With a side wall removed
Side wall off trying to show both baffles
With top box removed
Straight down view with top box removed
With side and rear wall removed
With front wall and port removed
Enjoy!

Hi All,
Thanks for staying tuned!
Sadly we didn't get anything done on the box on Sunday...we had a quick one day side project for one of the guys here at work.
He's got a 1987 Toyota Supra that he's doing up (he told me this part is IMPORTANT?!? It's a 1UZFE Quad Cam Conversion). We're putting 3x Ti10d's in the back running off of a Ti2500.1 along with a Ti800.4 to run his front stage as well (all powered off a SPV70). Thought you might enjoy the pics:

I know I'm being overly sensitive...but do you mean that my pics are too big? (or just that there are too many LOL)ttocs wrote:I cry for anyone on the phorum not on high speed....

Re: Phoenix Gold Oz - Astra Demo Car
I love build pics. I look over them as a former installer to get ideas of what looks cool, what works, and what doesn't. That is until suddenly there is pics of scrap wood, 4 pics of each hole cut, a pic of your super cute kid(don't get me wrong) in the box you just made, a pic of yer girl making a cut, your cute kid in a helmet, I think while sneezing, ICECREAM TIME!!!!!
I would sit and wait for them all to load while checking other sites, then scroll down at the rate of 3 times a second, stopping occastionally and not really paying attention. I am sure I am not alone on this but not known to be the quiet one. Pics of friends and family are great to look at in the loung but if you want people to really see what you are doing, stick to the facts.

That's hilarious.. Reminds me of Kramer from Seinfeld, says what everyone is thinking but no one dares to actually say.

And I get your point...I was just making my life easier by dumping all the same pics from Facebook into this thread. I guess the other thing I was trying to do was have a build log that showed how everything was put together rather than like most threads where they only show you what they want to show you and keep somethings 'hidden', or worse just show you the end result...
With that said though I will try to streamline the pics from here on out and keep everything else for the Facebook album (Phoenix Gold-Oz)
Appreciate the feedback!

Re: Phoenix Gold Oz - Astra Demo Car
Sorry ttocs...more pics
Hi All,
Well not a huge amount of work done this weekend, but we did get both boxes finally fit into the car...there's still some minor tweaking to get them to sit perfectly, but nothing a belt sander and fibreglass won't fix
Here's some pics
Cheers,
Scott

Hi All,
Not too sure if anyone noticed but our Photobucket account exceeded it's bandwidth last night and our account was temporarily shut down.
We upgraded this morning and everything looks to be working fine now!
Lots of people following this build now on Facebook and all the forums WOOT!!!
Cheers,
Scott
