Yep, in Austin. Quite a few people out here with more money than they know what to do with.

Ya, I actually work for a shop that has won over 150 Dealer of Excellence awards, Installation News Magazine rated it the best place in the US to have installation work performed (3 years in a row ).....no other shop has ever won that award more than once, also retailer of the year.....20 years in a row....and the lead installer was named " The Best Installer In America " by Mobile Electronics Magazine......we offer a lifetime warranty, and switch out products for original cost.....so you can basically swap speakers, amps, HU's.....etc...you get full credit for whatever you buy and pay the difference on new products.....

Navigation/Bluetooth/Double Din
Let's say $1200

in 2-3 years when newer units are available, we'll give you a $1200 credit on the exchange, let's say new unit is $1600, you only pay $400

With all the awards and recognition, why the modesty? No mention of the shop name. Great idea about the exchange program but i dont understand how anyone could give full retail value on exchange for a 3 year old unit. Maybe im missing something or just dont grasp the basis of the program. Either way, sounds like a place i would deal with if i lived down there.

Retail value paid, some items almost 75-100% mark up. Next item of greater value paid, refund retail on lesser and still get paid wholesale and labor on the newer item... Sell old slightly used item for wholesale and its almost like getting 2-3x labor, paid wholesale and a happy customer. Win win...

use to be mark-ups like that back in the day before the interwebs but there is not much in the 12v line that give mark ups like that anymore.

Our friendly local Mobile 1 is up there, location I think. A head unit they sold a sucker of a friend of mine retailed for $400, online a little over $200. That financing is very good bait for consumer...
