This is a little Install for my brothers 97 maxima. consists of a kenwood x590 (same deck i use, 24 bit DAC's yo) rsd 6.5's in the factory door locations, rsd 6" coaxs in the rear deck, and a SVC ti 12 (thanks AZscooby)
amps are a XS2500 (thanks Cecil, i took your suggestion and put the nicer guts in the nicer case) for the TI, and a XS2300 for the fronts.
sounds really really nice. im actually a little jealous. the ti is a great sub. snappier then the rsd's, although the extreme lows don't crush you the same.
the XS's have factory rnets which i haven't swapped out which are set to 85hz, but i don't know if i need to since the kenwoods crossovers 18db work great.
the 6.5's are crossed over at 40hz through the deck, and the sub is crossed over at 60 from the deck, and then again at 85 on the amp.
most of the pictures didn't come out because it was 11pm last night when we finally got it to a drivable stage. so all you get today is pics of the sub box and build. but much more to come.
the box is a tank. i had to make a recess in the back so the box would clear the steel rods that hold the trunk open, which added to the box's strength
one last thanks to AVICJR for the .25" t-nuts he sent me. they are the tornado style ones from partsexpress and too big for most subs (any subs i have used at least) but work amazing for bolting the baffle board to the frame of the car, and then bolting the sub box to that! there are 4 bolts holding the baffle board to the car, and 6 keeping the box to that. the box doesn't actually touch the floor of the trunk at all. (which i will show once we get pics in decent light)
PICS!
