Because I am selling the car I now accept that I wont be doing anything else to it, or changing it.
I still have to finish it with that mindset though.
So today I pulled out all the plastics and parts of the dash that were kameleoned.
The glove door came out, and, I sanded it totally smooth (took fucking ages). This will be black with the Hyundai emblem on it still.
I am painting the stuff gun metal and then Kandy blue (to create a dark blue that matches the seats) whilst still being 'flakey' (base is metallic).
The H shows the blue, havent done anything else yet its all in base.
And now that I know the head unit and EQ will never be relocated I have customised the stereo shroud and added a cover bar. Looks pretty cool IMO, wont look as gappy now.
Few days to dry and then it can be Kandy coated.
Im also doing the A pillar covers, shift surround, knobs and inner steering wheel in the same dark blue candy finish
