The never ending install saga...

Here are a few pics of my finished door etc. I am currently running my ZX-350 in tri-mode (running seps and sub) w/ no crossovers, as my ZX-500 wont be here until Monday. It actually sounds good on the rightly balanced tunes! LOL! Anyway, I will be wiring the speakers and mounting the crossovers (trunk) on Friday, I pretty much want to be able to drop my ZX-500 in on Monday with no hassle. At that point I will be putting my effort in an amp rack, not sure on the final design yet but I have a few ideas. Will post a few pics of my new monster when it arrives on Monday! Ttyl dudes! Mike

Please tell me you've got your sub hooked up at 8 ohms right now. If not, you're running well below a 1 ohm stereo load on that amp, which could easily damage it.
Where are you planning to mount everything once you get the ZX500? Parcel shelf? Back of the seats? Amp rack?

Nada. I have totally taken the factory unit out of the mix, it is just a glorified clock at this point! LOL!

Didn't know if you've seen this kit. I've used it couple of times and it looked good. The knobs didn't feel as solid as the factory ones. But otherwise was nice. A little salty though.

Ya, but I have the EX V-6 w/ dual climate control, I was NOT willing to give that up to have my Alpine in the factory location. Now that I have had some time to use it in that location, I actually prefer it down below. I also had the factory steering controls integrated w/ my Pine, it works awesome!!

I've held off really messing with my honda...same model , because of that integrated bs...spoke with c about doing some custom work but it is really a lot of work...still not sure what i want to do, the instal kits liek the ones mentiond are not what i want to use...its got to look great and function as designed...might find some type of switcher, on going search was considering a 360.2 but at this point companies are really hitting this problem hard and I think a solution is on the way

You wont regret mounting it like mine, I am very anal and was concerned about intstalling it there, but now I am glad I did. No regrets AND the price was right!
