sigh...you put the speakers on the outside of the doors?
you can totally build a triangle shaped wood plate on the inside of the door and use plumbers strapping to bolt it to the factory hols and then have the whole thing hidden behind the factory grill

i like the ryval amp tucked away, that looks nice.
on e deck, did you just get rid of the OBC portion of it, or did you find a way to bypass the DSP?

OBC = on board computer. the factory deck contained all the temperature, fuel usage data.
i was wondering if you eliminated that or bypassed it?
i am getting ready to work on a 2002 530 and am looking for insperation
DSP= Digital Signal Processing. the factory amp uses it to crossover signal to each speaker

its a 97:a so the temp, fuel usage data is in the combination instrument, the only thing i miss is the volym/track control from the steering wheel.
Dsp donno, but before the amp, i did not have any problems with the HU
The ryval tripod is from the oem cd changer. the oem amp is suppose to be located there to. but just had a cd changer..
anyway 530i-02 had any oil problem?
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/ maybe useful, exploded view interior and so on
