Here's some more. Figured I do an other tread because the first took awhile to load as it was. Excuse me while I kill my crappy scanner.
Here's an Extreme S10 .. literally! It had the biggest 'small block' chevy makes (don't remember what size .. 396?), totally done over and nitrous too! It dyno'd at over 450hp! We did this when ZX and X-max were first out. Note the port-thru just above the eq from the dual15 bandpass in the bed. Then 8" X-MAX for midbass under the seats with enclosures under the cab. Lows were NOT a problem
Here's the Golf that was in a previous post but I rearranged my photobucket files so I'm reposting in case the links were broken.
Continuing with pick-ups .. Here's a Toyota Tacoma that is an other one I never got enough pics of (I know I have more..just can't find em). One of my favorite door/kick panel arrays. Also my introduction to welding. We cut the shit out of the floor to make the EQ drawer. Then proceeded to catch the undercoating on fire while welding the floor back in That was a learning experience!
And yes .. yet another green f-ing Neon. Actually it was the first of them. The fiberglass trim was cool. I used it in a how-to for molds and fiberglassing.
Here's one the BMW owners can appreciate. I never could talk this guy out of his JL equipment. Or much of his money for that matter. Most was done in different phazes and only changed what was necessary. So it kinda took on a look that wasn't a plan from scratch if you know what I mean.
This was an other hard core JL guy. A Tahoe that turned into a rolling memorial for his son that died. Kinda morbid imo but a nice install anyway. More plexi etching
Here's an other stealthy Sable with lots of vinyl, plexi and motorization. The subs were the original Eclipse aluminum cone and probably the most extreme lows ever. Not the loudest SPL wise but like churn your stomach and make you wanna puke lows!
Here's how you fit a JLW7 in a 350Z. Without killing all the hatch space.
This was nothing but fun to build. A 12 cu ft box in a Ford Escort! haha! Can you say no back seat. Well actually ... no back seat, no trunk, no rear deck .. We had to pull the rear door off to get it in the vehicle
Here's a totally insane Supra. This car dyno'd at over 1200 hp! Dual HKS turbo's, 4" piping fuel pumps and rails and so much more. It stands as the craziest 'street' car I've ever been in. The owner claimed that his engine was his music and had no plans to actually listen to the system. haha He only wanted to do this because he was loosing at the car shows to the POS civics with stupid installs. So I evened the playing field for him.
While we're on the subject of crazy stupid installs ...
And of coarse this famous monstrosity .. My favorite part was the seat. And maybe the rearview mirrors that were TV's with cameras. Kinda cool actually.
The previous 2 cars were 'sponsored' vehicles so I had no say in the equipment choice. Unfortunately the only companies 'sponsoring' cars these days are the ones that I wouldn't consider even if it was free! hahaha So please don't judge me on that

This is my winningest vehicle The Tib! This guy has gone on to be DLS's competition team leader. Bastard has been flown around the world to help support his team mates. And they never invited me! But then again I didn't carry their products either.
Here's an other 10lbs of shit in a 5lb bag! Pontiac Vibe wagon. The cool part with this one was the sub enclosure was attached to the rear seat and folded up with the seat to gain access to the amp rack, and the amp rack lifted up to gain access to the spare too.
Here's an other I don't have enough pics of but i will find them! There is a ton of shit done to this one that these couple of pics don't do it justice.
Side Note .. this was also one of the first all - digital systems ever. Processing was all done in the digital domain before any d/a conversion. This was all prior to the likes of the Pioneer P9's or Alpine F-1's. It wasn't possible until Orion offered the digital eq with toslink in and outs. Even the guys at Alpine were impressed and a bit jealous that Orion was the first to offer the digital EQ.

wish i could see alot of these in person,,,,,...... sooooo nice; pretty wild on the escort ford? the car where u had a 12cuft. box, -i dont like that for me, but i appreciate the kicker amp being placed where was once appeared to be a back seat?????? does the creativity seem to cease? hopefully nEVER!!!( on the old posts i really love the red fiberglass car with ti amps, id like some red fiberglass like that in my audi, only b/c audi interior lights are red/white, all just INCREDIBLE!

damn, i didnt see the hyundai, till coming back-the old pg dealer keeps trying to get me to try the dls; i listened to his vehicle( granted he only used the peripherial stock h/u wiring) and, it was INCREDIBILY CLEAN! i mean very clean, ( if hes willing to let me try , at first, then ill consider, but ive always luved pg, since 1995-

It's definately 'worthy' product! Originally DLS was a 'You make it we'll sell it' type of company. Genesis made their amps and Morel made their speakers. They have since started production for themselves. But based on what was done for them previously by others. That's about as nice as I can put Rip-Off's! haha I never carried them mainly because the guy who imports the stuff here in the states does absolutely no promoting. No advertising. Nothing. Otherwise awesume stuff. They now have a dual mono tube amps that are the shit! I made some bookshelf speakers out of that guys leftover Uridiums that are amazing!
Oh, and the Grand Am you mention isn't painted fiberglass .. hehe .. it's red plexi. Just a cost saving tip for ya. If it's flat, you can probably find something like colored plexi that is easy to work with and doesn't require a painter.

He pushed alot of installers to get a little more "artistic" with installs.In a way he has had a big influence on some of the more over the top installs of today. Hes a fucking legend!! and you got to work on one of his vehicles!

Yes, the Tiburon was at CES in the DLS booth in 2005 or 2006 I don't remember. And the Celica was at CES last year and has been at SEMA the past 2 years and was at SEMA this year sporting a new paint job. Candy apple orange? at least that was the name of the color. It looks WAY better then the blue.

lol No problem man. You could only misread it if they had actually printed it. I knew when I took that job on, that no matter what I did to it, it was always gonna be "the Fishman celica". That's why there is no obvious Town Sound logos on it. I got paid for my work and that's all that mattered to me.
However, I would agree that he has allot of creativity. And will leave it at that.
