PG BMW and misc. others

Post by gkitching »

I am posting these old 35mm pics from back in the day. Brian and jeorge and others were discussing BMWs so I dug up what I could find on this one built by Jerry Demaze at PG. Unfortunately, I only found 2 of the trunk. But I also found some from that same era. You may remember a couple of em.

None of these are mine .. and I envied them all!

Of coarse The Bug. She was brite!

This was one of my favorite cyclone installs
Image

This one I remember because it was the first car I'd seen with 18" Rims! haha

Sorry bout the focus. But this was pretty badass. Up to that point it was probably the most extensive use of fiberglass I had seen. And the amp rack motorized up and down. The blur was probably from me creaming my pants and not being able to stand still.
Image

This is probably my all time favorite PG install. It was done in a Lincoln. Town Car if I remember right. The top amp rack motorized down as well as the amps in the lower rack motorized side to side to reveal the power dist under. All done in real leather!

Sorry there aren't more of each car. But that's all that seemed to survived the latest move.

haha Sweet! I think I took that at '98' World Finals in Texas? Sound right? Were you on the PG Team that year? I think I have a group photo of us somewhere.

That´s big time phoenix gold on those pics! Makes me kind a sad to see where they are right now! I can´t even tell when they built the last demo vehicle like that!

And the cylone install here gives me a really good idea for my upcoming install! 8)

Nope not Texas, but Greenville, SC, IASCA '97. I was with the PG Team but from Canada.

Wow, I have not seen some those pics since the 98 CES in Vegas. The Sup pra was put together in the east coast by a couple guys that also was in the performance car industry. The BMW is a classic.

Thank YOu for sharing.

That's right. I believe the guys name was Derick from SIMS (Sound In Motion) in NY. Also once employed Dave Rivera (pre-Fishman). If I heard my stories correctly.

That makes sense. Those pics don't have the date stamp on them. My memory was never my strong trait. I was just a spectator/co-pilot that year.
