im attempting to build a cabinet containing 1 xmax 10svc, and a 6" comp set (either the ti elites from my car after i find a new comp set, or rsd6" comps)
i can use the passive from the comp sets. but what to do with the xmax?
-buy a parts express 3 way crossover for all of them?
-let it roll off naturally?
-buy a passive sub crossover and keep using the 2 way passive from the comp set also?
other?
the amp is a audiosource amp 100. not exactly ideal power, but i think it will be fine for my purposes. so there will be a left and right cabinet, 1 for each channel
how to run a 3 way system from 1 channel

Is this going to be your home stereo, or just something for fun? Car audio tweeters are also not ideal for the home, since they were designed to be run at a 45* angle. Running them on axis usually results in a 6-12dB/oct boost in the highest reaches of treble... which can be pretty painful to listen to if not tamed.
Hmm... in that case, just get a cheap plate amp, and run your components as a stereo set, with a separate sub. Least amount of headaches that way.
An Xmax 10 won't be very loud in your home, without the cabin gain of a car to help boost the bottom end. I recommend you use your Xenon 10 if you still have it, or a sub with more natural bottom end. Of course porting is also an option.

yes, definitely planned on porting it
my xenon is going to used for home theater is a large box under a couch with a plate amp.
the only reason i thought to use the xmax's...
is because i have a pair of em...an its unlikely they will ever make it into one of my cars
the idea of this project was to use gear that i had just hanging out.
what if...
i used my sony cd player to power the comps and the amp100 for the subs....
ooh...the cd player even has a sub out i could use for signal!!!!
i think i just answered my own question!
sony cd player and amp100 are my next (when i move to Corvallis in September) garage system
i could even mount the boxes on the celing with the comps and port firing out and the sub firing down!
ooohoooh! i could even skip the comps! i have a pair of 6.5 inch in wall speakers (ati6) that i could mount in a cabinet!!!
