Is there any way to make a wireless volume control for volume control Pot?
Can one send others to war if hes not willing to go himself?

Could I do this? Buy a pre-amp w/ a remote control and change its master volume knob to a 10kohm pot by adding resistors ?

What is it you are trying to accomplish?
I think we've established that "Ka Ka" and "Tukki Tukki" don't work.

Why not use a preamp, and run the processor on the tape loop?

Because I want to run digitally into the Rane, this way I can use the XBOX360 as my source and bypass it's crappy dacs.

I use a Adcom tuner preamp on my bench. The upper level 6 and 7 channel units have remotes with volume controls. Try looking them up on flea-bay.
I love them as they have silent gain controls by design, and pretty ok SQ. Way better than most car head units.
At worst case you could pirate the remote volume controls for your project.....
