Just another audiophile BS item or do they really work ?

The idea behind mechanical diodes (spikes) is to remove unwanted cabinet resonances from the cabinet. The energy can travel through the spikes in one direction only...to the floor. Not back through the spikes into the cabinet. A simple, yet clever, solution. The other method some subscribe too is absorption. Using a rubber or other vibration absorbing material for feet can sometimes have similar results....its a matter of opinion I suppose....test and listen.
