I'm using a PHONIC PAA2 analyzer for some years now, to play with setups, filters etc.
If you want/need such a device I can recommend it.
it's battery powered, comes with a powersupply, c.d with software to link it to your computer [also contains lots of test-signals], cable to do so,good manual, xlr in/outs.
It's got more features than I've ever used, but basically it's a very handy real time analyzer! I've destroyed a lot of people's dreams however, who thought they had, for instance" a subwoofer that goes right down to 20hz...
this thing also helped me from buying speakers with high specs, and low performances!
also very usefull for polarity checks in complicated systems, etc, etc.
check it out! [cost me about $360].

Wow, that looks very nice for a handheld. Good display.

I am trying to make my own RTA right now using my laptop, a Behringer ECM-8000 microphone, Behringer Mixboard and software. I will let you know how it comes.

So far I have only spent $50 on the mic. Fuzzysnuggleduck already has the mixer, and I already have some software that I can use. I like cheap!!
