Set your gains with it, of course....
Connect it, and turn up the volume until you can SEE clipping... then turn it back a bit. This way you get the maximum possible output out of ALL your devices in the chain.
I so badly want an oscilloscope.

ive got this one in my hands right now.. its one of my bosses i work with.. but its old.. the calibration sticker on it is from 1986.. due in '87 lol. but i plugged power into it and it came on so. i might hafta ask him when he gets back in town if he wants to sell it..

it just shut off on me for no reason and now it wont come back on
now i hafta ask him if i can have it and hope he dont check it out.. i mean i shouldnt have broke it cuz all i did was adjust stuff.. but it wont come back on.. put it right back in da box and back in da drawer lol
