My friend is now the proud owner of TWO plum crazy coronets. One is an original 383 Superbee that now has a 472 Hemi and a 5 speed Keissler transmission in it the other one is a original R/T with it´s numbers matching 440 and automatic transission. Just received the second one he bought here in the UK a few weeks ago. Still has the UK tags on it.

Gotta love those old colors. No other cars nowadays have the balls to pull them off.

I have never even heard of a coronet. Sounds like a musical instrument. However, they do look sexy and probably a beast! Lets hear that engine ROAR!

My son and I where just at the drags on the weekend for the wheeliestand and rocket car show(aswell as regular drags) in Mission,B.C.
all we could say was wow
The fastest rocket car did 314.5 mph in a 5sec flat 1/4 mile
If you guys ever get a chance to see rocket cars in person...........DO IT!!!
Oh and the 472 Hemi does just fine

I went one night to the rocket car drag thing, it is impressive. I have a great action pic I will have to try and dig up. I was suprised I was able to time it but the streaking flame takes up almost the entire pic.
Yer buddy looks like he needs a new set of tires but it must have been fun!
