That's where I saw it also!
It looks great and is a great idea but $68,000??!! DAMN!!!
The more I think about it, if I am spending this kind of money I might as well get one of these!! Toyota Icon
Imagine a limited production street rod with the safety and serviceability of a standard vehicle and at half the cost of a typical restoration, not to mention the blood, sweat and tears. That is the Southern 358.
I do not see any restoration on a pickup costing 136,000 $.

If you're not doing the work and paying for it to be restored it will cost close to that.

maybe 136k to restore a classic ferrarri but 136k for a 55 chevy pickup that would be insane.
If it really cost that much to restore one I would think that is what they would charge for their truck they would be losing money at 68k.
Every time I go and look at old cars, I go on a nerdy rant about how I wish there was a car company that would buck the "nu-retro" car trend and just make beautiful CLASSIC looking cars with modern appointments and comfort. Not this watered down modern-retro stuff that all the car companies are doing today. Boriiiing.
That era Chevy truck has always been my favorite classic car. This is sooo close to my dream becoming a reality, but it's too posh for me. $68k... and that's without a motor! That kinda misses the spirit of the truck in my heart. I want cheap and bare bones! Priced and specced similar to normal cars on the market.
