My 1973 Porsche 914

Post by jsayre914 »

I have owned this car 3 years, it is my 2nd 914. I have a lot of fun with this car, did most of the work myself. I took out the original 2.0 so i could build it up to a 2056, and i built a temporary 1.8 motor currently in the car now. I redid the interior new carpet, mats, rubber seals, upholsterd the seats and added some led lighting. kyb shocks all the way around with 120lb springs on the back, and a 17mm sway in the front. 5.5 fuches with 205 60 15.

This car is my daily driver and i put 120 miles a day on it.

i have yet to start on the build, i am still collecting parts. i am using aa jugs 96mm and plan on purchasing the 9550 cam from the type4store, i want to use the d-jet fuel injection. i figure about 115hp when its done. it might take me awhile, but its a learning process for me.

I really wish they made more cars today with targa or T-tops still.

I think a long summer drive on a hot day would put that thing into protect but it is a smooth looking install. He has room for fans and can add them later, probably will have too I would guess.
