thanks. I've been working on getting the flower shots right - I think a couple of those would have high WAF for the bedroom in large prints.

Last week my car was pretty clean. Then it snowed and frosted, we went to Helsinki and then two days this week I've been in Tampere. Looking for some photos, I managed to drive around 20km of gravel. Along with 700km of dirty A road.
This time of year, the "soratie" are great. Slightly soft, moist, and as long as you have a sensitive right foot and understand what ESP can and cannot do, you're fine. Hook the right wheel into the ditch, apply power, watch the ASR light blink merrily past 70 km/h :D and then drop the power because there's a rather large tractor coming......

Anyways. Photographic results?

thanks.
the secret is washing-up-liquid. And distance. I might try doing some more soon with a white background and some other liquids, but it's really difficult to time right. that was one of several hundred (!).

It dropped into a stainless steel bowl at a distance of probably four feet. There's also a pair of flashes involved, but not much else. 1/50 @ f/16 IIRC.
I'm going to try editing the cornflower later, it needs some more sharpening.

yes, you have :D

you have to make time for some things - and if work is the thing that gives you the pennies to upgrade, then.....

Those last two also took around 20 minutes to sharpen using luminosity curves and channel masks. Urgh. I'll explain it in more detail when I have it 100% down pat.
