ZPA 2 ohm mono
Now i know the ZPA 0.5 can run 2 ohm mono if you clip the resistors but will the amp suffer from doing this. Also is it possible to do the same to the 0.3. If so so what output would i be lloking at.
I.m considering a pair of Ti elite subs that are duel 4 ohm. Just need to know if i can power them.

Yeah, either will drive a 2 ohm load with the diodes clipped without going into high voltage mode.
They may run a little warm so make sure you have some air space around them.

they won't last as long though so bare that in mind...
why not run 2 zpa's on a single elite? 2x 4ohm load, plenty of power and an east time on the ol' zpa's

Im gonna guess no. I have no problem underpowering effeicient subs but the ti elites are nothing like effecient. You would be much better off running two amps to one sub. Two ti 15's would probably run good on one amp and give you all you need. Maybe xmax 15's but you arent going to get the heavy bottom end that you would out of the elites. What kind of components are you planning on using?

Do you consider yourself a bass head. Wanting to run two ti elites kinda answers that question
A singe ti elite on two 0.5's would be sick, a pair running on a pair of 0.5's would be about the same output, but probably not as accurate. I dont have personal experience with the beast that is the ti elite but I am sure they sound much better with more power as with any speaker. Underpowering them would not do them justice for sq. But with ti9's you would probably be ok. What the sub will be doing is a small peice of the freq band. Very small. And I would think a zpa would give it what it needed to blend. I mysef would run 2 0.5's on one elite tho.

what about a pair of cyclones IB? that would work well ran off the 0.3's and leave the 0.5's for the front end.

Cyclones are harder to find and prbably cost more than the elites.
Oh and i forgot to say. All this is going in a Range Rover now and not the Evo.

No, it would be easier if you were running Ti1200.1's like it was designed to be used with
Seriously though clip the diodes and run em at 2 ohms. Should be plenty loud. But really think about it because you're only gaining 3-4dB with the second sub, but losing twice the trunk space, and paying twice as much.

How about a single Elite 12 running of the 2 x ZPA 0.5.
And the front end off the 2 x ZPA 0.3.
Comments on this.???
Also anyone run an elite ported.??
