How much does box size effect sound quality?

switch phase as the first thing you do.

can you also move the box within the trunk?

As I said earlier... try to take up airspace with styrofoam blocks as well.

They aren't "punchy" subs though. Tight, accurate, but they don't really slam notes. The 10's are also less violent than the 12's as well.

All of the punchy, strong motored subs I have tested gave up too much on low bass, and just turn it into boomy muddy subwoofer noise. I think the RSDCs got the recipe juuust right.

yeah they do sound great. I guess my expectation was a little off maybe. In no way do I want to sound dissappointed with the Rsdc's. I really love em. They do hit hard, and they're very musical, very clean and full, I really love 'em at normal listening volumes, and loud too. I'll try foam blocks as I'll be pulling the subs soon to carpet the box.

Obviously, the sub sound is depended on the mix and mastering of the music too. As we all do, I have those "certian song s" that just either hit sooooo hard, and / or sound soooo good in the system. Makes my 45 min, drive to work much nicer, and seeem faster too...

one thing that suprised me...even when the subs are pounding, you can't hardly hear 'em at all outside of teh jeep!!
