Was this a JACKPOT or what?????

Post by Stryker »

Let me first say i did not know where to post this so i put it here.
soooo i was scanning the local Kijiji electronic's ad's as I usually do everyday hoping to find a good deal like everyone else. I see an ad for
2 Phoenix gold subs 50.00 OBO, ok kool i email and they are 12 inch tantrums. nice.... i don't need em' but what the hell only 50 bones. guy sounds nice enough says they are mint condition etc. i arrange to meet him yesterday at his place but he was busy when i phoned... says we can meet at his buddy's house. i'm thinkin hmmm sounds sketchy, i ask if i can come tommorow(today). sounds good etc etc.
i show up and he's got the subs, we go outside and i open the trunk to hook up the subs and do a quick test. he looks at my gear and says "phoenix gold nice". i say ya i'm into the PG lololol. he says i have some other stuff if you want an EQ like yours and a few other things. wellll HOLY shit!!! he had no clue how much this stuff was worth. says he bought a PG demo car a while back. it was a 1990 beretta that was totalled about 6 years ago and these things have been in boxes since.
long story short i left with a few items. he actually was gonna give me all of it for 100.00CAD i gave him 150.00 so i wouldn't feel bad. super nice guy and said to enjoy it. must have been about 30ish. couldn't care less just happy to make my day. i was finding it hard to play dumb/coy and was hoping he wouldn't back out.
here's the list,
-one excellent looking MS2125
-mint EQ230
-mint bass cube he lost the remote jeez...lol
-mint AX204A crossover
-2 very old caps with PG stickers on them
-2-12 inch tantrums very nice condition
-ANNNND drum roll please. a nice 5.25 set of AVI BSM130 components.
i'm smilin like no tommorow. here's apic of the items. :D

it really does look like 2250 though, the daughter board isnt there, but the silicone square is. maybe like a 2250, rushed out the door, or just given the application the dgtr board wasnt neccessary?? i dunno

but in white sink and 2125 end plate??? weird?

sweet - once again!

It was a show car after all. PG probably put it in a white sink to match all the other gear. Normally they were black anodized sinks with a fan shroud. I wonder if any mods were made to let it run cooler without the shroud?
