does anybody remember these subs? i have a 10" thats been sitting in my garage a couple years now and i decided to pull it out of the box it was in and to my suprise it fits behind the seat of my frontier
does anybody remember the power handling of these subs? if i remember correctly these are spl subs , am i correct????
Oh man, those were the subs that really got me interested in car audio. The honeycomb nomex cone really set them off. I remember when the beast was loaded with those things. If I remember correctly, they didnt really have too high of a power handling. I want to say 300 rms for the 10", but it may be 400.
I have the manual for these subs. The 8", 10" and 12" are all rated at 200w rms. The 15" is rated at 300w rms. The Power Class Pro 10" is rated at 300w rms. There a few big differences between the version you have PC and the PC PRO. The first is the composite poly foam surround versus the rubber roll surround. Then there is the voice coil and alas the baskets. I had a NIB pair of the PC 12 that the foam surround was essentially dry rotted. They played great for like 2 weeks and one day the surrounds ripped out all the way around. Most speaker repair shops won't touch them for repair because it's too hard to line up the VC because there is no dustcap as they have the flat piston. Very nice clean subs, though. I hope this helps.

Actually they were already fried before I got them. I needed the honeycomb core material for a project and asked a car audio store if they would donate them to my cause. I have no idea who abused 'em.
I may have some of the 8" cones available from the PC 8's. They aren't the PROs so they aren't quite as nice, but I may have some if you are interested.
I also have some PC 12's that were poorly repaired (the blown surrounds I mentioned earlier).
What type of project? Did you complete it? I hope you didn't eat the honeycomb.
I was in the process of prototyping a subwoofer based on a patent I was recently granted. I eventually bought some aluminum honeycomb core with aluminum skins. I may hit you up for those cones if I can get back to prototyping.
Not to hijack this thread, but I have a pair of Pro12s I have been trying to get rid of for several years now. No one seems to know what they are or what they can do, so there is seldom any interest in them.
