I am wondering, I currently have 2 8 inch subs wired to 4ohms sitting in my trunk waiting on a Phoenix Gold Xenon 400.1 amp...he he he, notice how I said what amp?
Anyway, I have been told it is ok to wire them up strait to the HU as long as they are wired 4ohm...they don't hit real hard, but they let me know they are in there..so does it hurt anything to do this until I get my amp?

Wait, do it right the first time. You'll appreciate yourself for waiting in the end.

I shouldn't hurt anything as long as they're wired for 4 ohms. But like Cecil said, I'd just wait.

bump for me, I have a X600.1 for sale. IIRC the X400.1 will be a bit difficult to locate.
I think we've established that "Ka Ka" and "Tukki Tukki" don't work.

Yeah I would buy VW337's 600 if I were you. They are a sweet amp to push your speakers, and later if you go bigger your still OK power wise IMO

That's not a bad deal. Especially seeing as how prices on PG gear is going up all across the board.

Those birthsheets are wrong. PG released a second version with more accurate figure. I'd figure your's to be around 500 watts or so.
