Well, I'm sure it's cheaper than a harness and 2 trips to the shop

and what do u do with the test light? What am i looking for? What about just running a wire to a fuse that turns on when the key is turned?

Test Light = Looks like a pick with a wire, the wire side attachs to the chassis....for ground.....you can then poke wires with it to find the one's that have power. When you find a wire that has power, the light on it will light up.

From there, your Power wire will only have power when the key it turned to the On position.

The Constant power wire will have power at all times even when the key is turned off.

The Remote wire ( Antenna ) will only show power when the radio is turned on.

So then u could do the same thing by putting it to the fuse box as well.

Aren't you going to run a RSD amp ?

You will need a remote wire to turn things on.

Now how do i adjust the gains properly on the inline adaptor and the amp? Do i turn the adaptor gains to full or 3/4 then go from there?

I had a sub control on my car..
it depend on how loud you want it
I would start at 1/2 and go from there. If you set your gains and need more sound then turn it up a bit

What brand is it? I would turn it up as high as you can go without distortion.

u mean turn the adaptor gains up to like 3/4 and have the gain on the amp all the way counterclockwise then start turning it clockwise till it sounds good?

No I mean turn the adaptor gains until it starts sounding distorted, then turn it back.

What speakers are you tapping into? Do you know if there is a factory crossover of any kind (i.e. are speakers limited to playing a select frequency or do they play full range).

No I meant what brand is your LOC... and what factory speakers. I already know about your new gear :P

I'm relieved you've finally got it set up now!

Are there any passive loc as i still cant the gain adjusted properly as the components will shut off when adjusting the gain? Maybe a cheap line level adapter is causing this? I had the amp set at 40 hz and the gain like half way i think its 4volts but every click of the head unit would increase the volume heavily so i would only make it to like 1/4 before sounding real loud. Set the loc at full as well. Had some one come over and try to adjust them but now the freq was raised up and the volume could go up more. He said get a better adapter like fosgate makes one that is passive whatever that means?

Maybe try bringing it to the shop you bought the LOC at and ask them to adjust it? Stupid thing is giving you way too much trouble.
