I have a phoenix gold xenon x600.1 coming my way and I will be using 2 dvc 4ohm subs that take around 200 - 500 RMS each. I was wondering how I should wire the subs up.
I see that the amps have 4 screws to install the subs, which would 1 positive 1 negative to a sub and another positive and another negative to another sub, this is stereo correct?
Should I wire the subs to amp like this (stereo) or should I wire them up in mono? (bridged) I ask because there are 3 options for me.
First I can wire the subs in the bridged mode to 1 ohm or 4 ohm, and the third option would be my suggested up top, @ 2 ohm. I know the amp is 1 ohm stable, but would it be stable in stereo for 2 ohms?
But in general, I know 1 ohm is more stressful on the electrical system in my car, but I can imagine 800 watts is 800 watts regardless of ohms (correct me if I'm wrong)
Would I notice a significant difference in terms of dimming or stress on the electrical system if I go 1 ohm instead of 4 ohm? Furthermore, how about @ 2 ohm stereo?
If you can provide some input I'd be very grateful
