new xenon 200.2 installed wow what a differnce

Post by buckster »

I bought this amp from gkitching months ago, but never got around to installing it. My T600.4 started cutting in and out, and hissing on the left front channel.

So, decided to hook up the 200.2 and man, I can't believe how much better it sounds. I know it puts out about twice the power, and I have heard all of the arguments about it's all about power, but I have doubled my power plenty of time before and it hasn't made this kind of difference. I now have a richer sound with better separation too. The highs are noticeably sharper and more detailed.

I am using the deck X-over for now, and can't wait to play with the amps x-over tomorrow. I may have been having trouble with the T600.4 for a while and this could be part of why I am noticing so much difference.

One question, is the red light suppost to be on inside the amp? I read about this somewhere in her but I guess me and search function cant get along.

Glad to hear you like your Xenon. Yes the red light is normal, have no worries.
