Anyone own a Phoenix Gold Rsd 600.1? Please help?!

Post by nick777 »

Does anyone have a rsd 600.1 kicking around? Mine is out of warranty (2005) and it just failed...I didn't blow it from too much cranking (its not the mosfets/power supply), just some of the control boards...I think a voltage regular blew.

I'm looking to repair one and I need help identifying 2 of the resisters and 1 of the transistors as they have melted.

I would be forever in your debt if you could either take a pic of the spot I need, send me a pic you already have, or just detail the parts for me...they are Q309, R329, and R337.

If you are willing to help, I can call you / you can call me if you prefer, or I'll send you my email address, whatever you want.

Thanks so much,

Hi!

I have taken a picture of the parts you are asking BUT! its from a RSD1200.1 so i dont have a clue if its similar with the 600.1, anyway, the Q309 Transistor`s name is A1015--GR5H

R329--My DMM show 1K, Dont know what way to read the color codes but when looking down on it it seem like this: Brown-Black-Black-Brown-Brown, look at the picture.

R337--My DMM show 20K, Color codes: Red-Black-(Black or Gold) -Red-Brown.

Good luck.

http://wiki.xtronics.com/index.php/Resistor_Codes

the pnumonic to help you remember the color codes from 0-9 is
Bad-----black-------0
Boys----brown------1
Rape ---red---------2
Our-----orange-----3
Young--yellow------4
Girls----green------5
But-----blue--------6
Violet---purple-----7
Gives---grey-------8
Willingly-white-----9

one of the stripes on the resistor is probably a gold stripe that is hard to tell but that indicates that it is a 10% resistor, or that it can be with in 10% of the value listed. this also shows which end of the resistor to start reading from(the other end) to see what the value is.

REading them one way to the other will either give you a 10 ohm, or 100 ohm value if you start from the other end

*Bump*

Could someone please send me a picture of the RSD 600.1 section mentioned above? It's been sitting on my dining room table forever and I really want to put it back in my car before it gets too cold.

Thanks!
