RSDC124 or RSDC122?

Post by wolfseed »

Hi guys,

I'm going to upgrade or basically change my subwoofer system. Planning to get a RSD1200.1 and match with 2 x RSDC12. Choosing from RSDC122 or RSDC124. How does it affect the bass from a pair of 2ohm woofer and a pair of 4 ohm woofer? Which is the best i should go with?

Thanks.

You must buy the 2 ohm version RSDC122 to get a total of 2 ohm for your RSD1200.1 You connect the coils on each woofer in serial then each woofer is 4ohm, then you connect the 2 woofers in paralell and you have a total of 2 ohm and you get max output from your 1200.1

Good luck

if he buys the rsdc122 he can only have 1 or 4 ohms with a single sub.

Yea but the OP said he was going to have 2 RSDC subs. So he is right. If you want 2 ohms then you have to get 2 of the RSDC122 subs and then wire it series/parallel.

Here is a good website to help.

It is the middle one for what you would do.

Kenwood Excelon x592
x200.4(in process of repair OMFG YES)
rsd65cs front

2 rsdc124
using zx350 until repair of x200.4
