help me choose an amp please
hello,i need some help in choosing an amp,i am gonna run my eclipse 55430 head unit, with my mb quart psc 216 seperates up front,60-130 watts @ 4 ohm,and my dkc 116"s for rear fill they are 50-120 watts @ 4 ohm, then i wanna run my soundstream eg 10 x"s (2),they are 300 watts rms and 600 peak, dual 4 ohm coils,i am a beginner who always paid stereo shops,im a mechanic and was scared of installing my own equip, but now i do and love it,and seeing some of the shop work in my old cars,i do a little better, solder heat shrink ect,vs crimps they used,im open for help,is it gonna be two amps, which, one will be for the subs,i wanna use pg equip or nothing,
mb quart psc 216"s,for front stage, dkc 116"s for rear fill, eclipse 55430,head unit,xs4600 for front stage and rear fill, soundstream eg 10 x (2)subs and xs2500 to power them, all in my 1984 chevy cavalier type 10 hatchback lol,
As stated above drop the power to the rears use deck if you want to power them. Personally I have never gone to a concert and stood with my back to the stage, why do it in a car? Any sound coming from the rear should be a reflection from what is played in the front.
If going PG you could get away with a single amp solution.
Current product RSd 500.4 don't let the numbers fool you it is stout.
older product X200.4
Ifyou are going for 2 amps then the options are limitless.

I think we've established that "Ka Ka" and "Tukki Tukki" don't work.

I would have recommended the Roadster 66 or Ti900.7, but unfortunately the sub channels are 2 ohm optimized. With his DVC 4 ohm subs, he has either 1 or 4 ohm.
In this case, a 4 channel amp like Errin suggested makes more sense. The RSD500.4 or X200.4 would be great solutions, while using the deck to quietly power rear fill. With the 4ch amp he can run 2 ohm stereo/4 ohm bridged with the subs.

True dat. And such a gorgeous amp!Bfowler wrote:although even at 4ohms, the roadster will still make 425 watts
