PG M50 Amp repair info...?

Post by DragNFly »

Hey all, new to the forum and had a quick question...My brother picked up an M50 for free that WAS working when it was pulled from the previous car, it has good ground, power and signal but the only time he gets any bass is when he turns the gain quickly back and forth. I pulled the cover to check for anything that might be burnt up but found nothing. Any ideas on how i could fix it or maybe test it for something?

"Pots" are OKA potentiometers (dials/sliders that, "typically" adjust analog signals, i.e. sound levels, freq, etc...) IOW the small little dials that you are having issues with are AKA "pot(s)"- short for potentiometers.

Not trying to be a shark here, but if you decide that the rebuild is too much just let me know as I need one more M50.

Also you are probably due for new capacitors as well. They wear out over time and start to leak = blown amps.

Good luck!
