Sneak Peek
Thanks for the kind words guys.
Cosmetically our design goal was "clean but mean". However, thermal and electrical performance were most important, after all it is an amplifier.
Entry line amps will have:
- Unregulated power supplies
- Bi-Polar Output Stages
- 12dB crossovers for 4 channels
- 18dB crossovers for monoblocks
- High Level Input with signal sensing turn on
- 4 gauge direct insert angled power terminals
- 12 gauge direct insert angled speaker terminals
- LPL and RMD for all models
Couple other comments:
- Badge on top of the amplifier is die cast metal with a silver plated finish. Heatsink is anodized a brushed black using EVENFLOW technology, more on that later.
- Endcaps are a high temperature ABS plastic that look and feel like diecast aluminum. But due to costs, it just wasn't reasonable to use aluminum part here.

I really think silver plating on the badge was a bad call. It should be gold plating.
This is "Phoenix Gold" after all, not "Phoenix Silver".
Do the monoblocks have a subsonic filter? It is not really critical, but would be pretty useful for those with ported boxes, especially since the amps seem to include just about everything else anyone would ever need.

I hear and respect what you are saying about the plating but a gold badge on this amp looks so tacky. Trust me I had the same idea until I saw it on the amp.
It just doesn't match the fit n' finish of the amplifier.

All I can say is these entry level amps look just how I would design them!!! In fact, they look very similar to my XS amps and once these are available I will add one to complete my future build instead of purchasing another XS amp. Great job on the design, and great job on the features! I like the 2 channel option of running the 4 channel amp (something they could have done with the RSD line).

Man that looks legit. I can't wait for these to be released. I would even go as far as buying this line for my uncle. BUT saving up for the high end line.
I am super excited for the release of these at CES and then the sale of them. I will deff save up though. bday is coming up. CLOTHES OR AMPS??? FUCK i hate the decisions!

This is why I (and so many others) keep holding on ... thats a great looking entry-line amp.MW3 wrote:Update Time:
Here are two spy photos of the affordable/entry line.
Amps will range in power from 250 to 1000 watts.
I am with Eric, I am shocked at how much I like the look of it.
I cant WAIT for the high-end and even more... the LE lines when/if they ever happen...
They will happen right?

Excellent work...

The power end looks EXACTLY like an Exile, but that is not a bad thing.
The Exile amp does not have an RMD port, that is the difference...
