BTW: The silkscreen is actually "Cool Grey" the pics just make it look white.

Taking requests for Friday's sneak peak. Might be time for some amp guts?
Although it would be nice to see some guts, we have not really talked much about the speakers and subs. Lets see the highend line subs. Lets see these high excursion beasts :)

How's about some sneak peeks of the install accessories as well? Would love to know that you are "re-creating" one of PG's most in demand pieces at the moment...... a Desmaze Distribution Center.

I want to see the high end line of amps and some components.

BTW, the local stereo shop here was talking about trying to pick up PG. I informed them of the new lines/updaets and w/o even seeing one pic, he said he's in.

Here's their site.

Look for Loddy and ask for R.P. if you're interested.
"ZPA's will have the same sound essentially as you get from the MS, they just feature a bigger shinier set of balls."

I just sent in an email to Jorge, thanks to Morgan, in hopes of SSA finally becoming an authorized PG dealer.

Wait, is it not Friday? Where is the next sneak peak?

They should keep it branded PG. It's only fair since it's a PG legacy product. I sure hope they will recreate these, it would be stupid not to.

I believe B means the install accessories would look similar to Stingers line. Stinger has never made a DDC to my knowledge.

you could say that probably more so about amps than subs.. These days many amp companies use the same build houses, and very similar, if not the same basic circuit boards. So don't sit here and tell me one varies alot more than the other. If anything I can find more amps that are alike than subs. Carry on morgan. You have us waiting

so by that measure, the components used arent important to the quality of sound, durability or power output of the amp?

I think its fairly safe to say that if you crack open an AAMP made PG amp and see internals that look like an xplod amp, you would be disappointed - but if you were to crack one open and see the internals that are reminiscint of brax, genesis, audison... maybe not so much.

I am not debating whether amps or subs are more different, or that one is more important for a weekly sneak peak... just that when it comes to everything, the sum of its parts, all its parts, is greater than any of them individually.

The Arc Audio / Elf audio amps, which are pretty obviously the same board and case, but different internals, are a perfect example of exact same board, exact same build house, exact same case... but very different amps... because of internals.

You are just further proving my point. The point is that subs are not just subs, and amps arent just amps. They are not created equal, and there can be tons different with one sub that looks alike over the other, and vice versa with amps. I was not knocking any new pg or old pg, just making a point.

Now hopefully we can get back on topic, just wanted to clear that up.

Do you really believe this? I would bet, that the really important parts are the same. I am pretty sure, that the output transistors are TIP35/36C, since Robert Zeff uses them in all of his budget amps. And the really important layout is also the same. So what is left to create a big difference? The caps with the amp brand name on it?
