Replacement 7 blade fans for ZX amps?

I am just wondering if there is a source for new cooling fans for the ZX V2 amps? This is the 7 blade fan.

I am not sure what fan the Ti amps would have used, but it is a good guess that they used the same fan... Maybe even the ZPAs.

The PN I have is: ADDA AD0812HB-D71

... The PO hardwired the fan into the REM and - input on the amp. I hope the normal board 2 pin connector for power still works! This is the joy of used amps.

It would have been a hell of a lot easier and cheaper to buy new chiness crap!

I tried a couple times, but did not find an exact match.

Mosser has some but with an -LF ending, which I cannot decipher from the ADDA website as to what it means.

There are some used ones available from a PC recycler, which might be a good shot. But would rather buy new if possible.

I figured someone might have a source in the car audio field... Then again most parts seem to come from MCM, Mosser, and Parts Express anyway! LOL

The critical spec is the current. Take a look at the current rating on your fan and compare it to the current rating on this one...

Here are the specs for the PG ZX v2 fan:

ADDA
AD0812HB-D71
DC = 12V
0.19A
CFM 29.90
With 2 pin plug in wires

New alternative:

ADDA
AD0812MB-D71
DC= 12v
0.10A
CFM 22.40
Bare lead wires

The "M" model seems to be a lower fan speed which makes the CFM difference.

Also the bare lead wires are an issue... Unless there are generic 2 pin connectors that I can add on?

... It pays to have multiple amps on hand for comparison sometimes.

Same amps! ZX500 v2, both have different hookup methods for the fan! Arg. To note the ZX350 v1 (11 blade) is a solder to board as well.

I think at this point I might as well just unsolder the 2 prong clip on system and replace it with a standard weld in setup like the other amps.

The lower air movement would probably be just fine, since the amps don't crank up their speed all that often.

Obviously there are exceptions to this rule as you have stated, but for the most part the V1 amps have the fan on a plug and the V2 amps are soldered in. I would solder it in if it were me, as the plug is kind of a crappy one.
