hey guys...since my last post,i have done more research n act got my budget increased a bit....Now,im considering DLS Ultimate UP6i n focal polyglass 165vr....So,wat do u guys think abt these components???I heard the focals in a local shop...they sounded great..the vocals were very clear n the instrumentation was good as well...I nvr heard the dls... tell me ur exp if any...

the only problem is the polyglass is there cheapest line. If you look on ebay you can get great deals on them for the same money
I am going to run kx they are the older first kp2 style
I was told they sound better
I think they cost me $350us shipped nib
most of my gear is gone :liar:

err....the thing is most of the cheaper ones dun ship to my country...how abt the newer ones..

personally, I have a set of the PPI 356cs in my wife's car and they are one of the best sounding components I have ever heard. Not the best mind you, but definitely up there.

They are the ADS component set with a few very slight changes - that ADS set was amazing - there were many championship competition SQ cars running them.

I am running a set of CDT's in my tacoma and while the midbass is awesome (crossed over at 63hz with 125w going to them) they just dont have the clarity or crispness of the PPI set.

just my opinion - but I think they easily compete with $300 - $400 comp sets.

How much $ do you have for your budget?

Between those comp sets I would vote for the DLS, although the only Focals I have really appreciated are the Utopias. I tend to prefer silk dome tweeters.
