Hi there!
Yes it was the AD12 i had in my car when writing this thread. I`m not quite sure but i think the specs on the AD12 is 300W continius and 600W max.
I used a Phoenix Gold MS275 2ohm mono on my 2*AD12 so that gave them 150-180W each. Later i used the ZX450 and that should give them 250-300W each. This box was 50 liter to each sub and one 4" bass port each. apperox 10" long i guess with aeroports in both ends.
Not very familiar with your Rockford amp but i think the AD12 would be happy with 150-300W.
Its a great sub i think. It was sold by the same store selling Phoenix Gold here in Norway in the early to mid 90`s. I bought my subs in 1994 i think. The AD12 and AD15 had a cind of cult status here. I really like the sound of them and they can take a lot of beating so take care of your`s. Celestion is a very good brand but it was just a short time that they where into car audio.
Please post some pictures when your build is finished.

RSD 500.4 VS ZX450 SQ?
Yes that sure is a AD12. Its a really great sub. Celestion is an old brand, they make great speakers for home use and for guitar players. Dont think you will find much on the internet from they`re car audio period because it was just a short time.
They made 2 series of subwoofers, the pro serie named AD and a cheaper one called AP. I know they made AD10, AD12 and AD15. i guess it was the same in the AP series. The AD10 was never available here in Norway.
I had 2 AD12 and at first i powered them with a Denon amp giving them 90-100w each. That was not enough to get them to punch like they should so i changed the Denon with a Phoenix Gold MS275 power them with 150-180W each and that was working good. It may be different with a sealed box vs ported so just give it a try, it looks like you amp will give 80W but maybe its a little underrated.
I would recommend that you use your Rockford for your component speakers and buy a 200-300w amp for your Celestion if you can afford it.
Anyway keep us updated with your build, its cool with oldschool car audio builds.
