No real reason... they just decided to change the name of the amp line when they brought out the big Ti amps (1000.2, 900.7, 800.1 and 1200.1). So the ZXti's are the early Ti's, but there is no electronic difference.

they changed it so the names would be uniform in the Ti line. amps are identical. i had both!
