1 set of Ultimate ears custom in-ear monitors...

Thats it.

heheh

Otherwise probably all old-school M-series amps or old soundstream reference amps, older A/D/S 346cs run active, single 12" Soundstream exact.

I dont know... money has always been an object so I have never spent that much time on the "what if"

Alpine F#1 DVD player/ F#1 Status 3 way splits up front, 2 way splits on the rear shelf, PG Xmax V.2 10" x 3 and PG Zero Point amps to run the whole lot. Kinetik Battery. Alot of Dynamat Xtreme and PG wiring/connectors.

...and THEN I wake up and listen to mp3s off the loudspeaker of my Samsung mobile phone, while I'm yet to fit my head unit in my car, let alone the whole setup :p

Alpine F1 or ODR
Brax Matrix X4 amps
CDT EuroSport comps & matching 08 subs

Or a mix of:

CDT mid-bass and subs, then experiment with different soft dome tweeters & 3" mids, like morel, dynaudio, brax etc...

My dream setup? I don't know, what day is it? It seems to change every time I think about it.

Pioneer DEX-P99RS
Morel Supremo Tweeters
Seas W15CY Mids
Seas W26FX Mid-Bass
Morel Ultimo 12

Amps and processors may vary, but I will keep it simple and say EQ215X and a bunch of XS series amps.
XS2300, XS2500, XS2300, X200.4, X100.2, Ti21000.4, Roadster 66

I'm gonna become a civil engineer. I'm gonna design septic tanks for playgrounds. Little kids can take shits! You idiot, what the hell do you do?

Ti900.7
Ti1200.1
Elite 9-5-1 front stage
Elite 12D sub

What can I say, I like the Ti series

Funny thing is I already had this setup, but installing it proved to be impossible.

My real-life dream system would be:

Pioneer DEX-P99RS
Tru Tech C-7.2AT for tweeters
Tru Tech C-7.2T for midrange
Sony XM2000R for midbass
Sony XM2000R for subwooders

( I just have a thing for these monster sony amps, hard to explain :D )

Focal TRL tweeters
Focal Audiom 6W midranges
Focal Utopia 13WS midbasses (2x each side)
Focal Utopia 27WX subwoofers (3 or 4)

This is how far I have gotten by now, about halfway there :)

Image

Hopefully, by 2011 I will have my dream system installed.

I'll trade you my CDT EF-61FG comps (silk tweeter) for a set of the RDS comps  The Midbass is insane on them - almost too much with my 8" subs in a Toyota Tacoma extra-cab.

@ Haakon, i think we have the same taste in audio stuff :D i still have my old tlr's and 6w's, will never sell them ever

Hgodda love those xm2000r's, the only issue is size, even by shrouded ms amps standard they are huge and would be almost impossible to install 3 for a system

Getting Ti9M's to fit in any car is a challenge. I got all that gear when I was driving an 85 Corolla. To fit the 9Ms in the doors I would have had to cut out the window roller mechanism, and leave my windows up all the time. Not a great idea in a car with no AC

I had the 1200.1 and Elite 12D hooked up momentarily, but that amp is so strong it killed my battery, then alternator, and STILL caused massive dimming with the replacement "160 Amp" alternator as well. The car also rattled way too much, so it was clearly pointless having that much power.

After that I switched to a much more "toned down" install with Elite 6 bridged off the 900.7 front/rear channels and a Xenon 12 on the 900.7 sub channels. I sold off the 1200.1 because it wasn't aluminum, and got rid of the Elite 12D and 9Ms because friends wanted them for their installs. Fortunately I got a 1200.1AL later, but I still haven't had the money to get the 12D and 9Ms back.

When it came time to do the install in the Saab I needed to retain my trunk space, spare tire, as well as the folding rear seats. Unfortunately I couldnt find any way to make this happen with the 900.7 and 1200.1 without a ton of fabrication to install them along the sides, with the subs fiberglassed into the corners. I have absolutely ZERO fabrication skills, or tools, so I couldn't do that if I tried. When I looked at the available space under the parcel shelf, I realized I could fit a Ti500.4 and Elite crossover perfectly with zero fabrication. And really, I am smitten with it. I haven't even run a sub for the last few months (just my backup Tang Band 6x9 subs in the rear shelf).

I saw 4 of them mounted staggered in a Sony democar in 1999 at the european finals in sweden. I think it also had 24 10" subwoofers in a sort of rounded clamshell design. Since then I knew that someday, I will have one of these amps :) And now I found one :)

The two 11" utopia subs came in the mail yesterday, the tru techs in january, 6W right before christmas, things are finally starting to come together :) Think I'll run my audison vrx 1.500 for subs until I (eventually) get a second xm2000r.

If money were no issue?

Then my set-up would look like this - in my daily driver:

1 x Ti 951 Elite
2 x Ti9
2 x Cyclone
2 x MS1000 original
1 x Helix Powerstation

Seriously, this is not hitech like many brands you other guys have mentioned - but it is a set-up I'd enjoy on a daily basis...
Selling your Ti9 mids? PM me, please..

I also need a DD10...

I'm talking about the top level EuroSport drivers. The ES06 and ES08 are the best drivers I've ever heard for mid-bass and sub bass duties. It would be very interesting to try various uber soft dome trebles with them!

... Dreams do come true. Just got a MK1 Brahma in the mail 10 minutes ago... Video later tonight.

As for the dream system. I guess I am building it now. Otherwise why bother. Sure I would like to have all AVI highs/mids, but that can be arranged later.

Zero Point 6-4-1 comps
Ti Elite 12D sub
ZPA 0.3- for the ZP 4-1 mid/tweets
ZPA 0.5- for the ZP 6" mids
ZPA 0.5- for the sub

I have all the speakers but I'm debating on using my MS1K as trade bait to get me the ZPA's.
