I'm not sure if passive croosovers are built by other means, but the guy that built these for my friend's crossover was quick to mention of the "loving" he put in them :p
Ahh.... my good old "crap" 2 way front stage...
Custom passive's running a set of focal T121 (square home tweeters) and Dynaudio MW160's.. that crossover was also bi-amped..

And yes, was built that way to fill out the bootlid of my old VS commodore.. Each coil was hand wound, and high end parts were used.. those things cost me in the vicinity of $1000+...
I changed from my favorite Morel 3 way setup (Elate6, cdm54, supremo, idmax) with PG Xenon amps (1200.1 + 2x 100.4) for this.. wasnt happy with it (didnt go loud enough without issues) so scrapped it and wend the focal 3 way... That was a big mistake on my part in the car audio "path".. :(

The crossovers are still at my parents place, complete with the MDF enclosure housing it... cant sell it.. so parts might be used to build new, smaller crossovers for my future setup..

PG Ti amps: 2x Ti600.4 (front stage) + Ti2500.1 (sub duties)

One of martinkruit's passives:

His install is amazing, but I can't find pics anywhere. He's also converted the preamp section of his Ti500.4 to tubes, and uses an array of 6.5" subwoofers for bottom end.

Yup and they are connected and working,, so is the amp , that install amazes loads of people cause it all plays , but there are no wires anywhere, we opened the amp at the back and soldered direct onto the board.

Looks wicked when the little light comes on and everything plays.

I know these well now. I just acquire two - a totally perfect XVR2 from Joerg, plus a good XVR4 from TA. I stripped both down yesterday to a pile of bits, cleaned and polished everything, then put all the 4 ohm compatible components onto the perfect XVR2's board & perspex. So now I've got a 100% perfect XVR4. Bit of a long way around! But that's the only way I could get a totally perfect XVR4

Almost as bad as me stripping eight amps to make a perfect pair
