got my rsdc122 in today
nice looking sub i can say that much !
so i went to
http://www.hometheatershack.com/forums/ ... alculator/ and i came up with this..
Box Width 15"
Box Height 13"
Box Depth 16"
Material Thickness 3/4
Driver Volume 0.13
Number of Drivers 1
and i got 1.173 , .003 withen the 1.17 the manufacturer's SQ for a sealed Enclosure...
only thing is the max diameter for the sub is 13.08" , think it will hang over the 13" height of the box, and is the 1.173 a good Volume for the sub ?
any other box dimension Recommendations ?

lol, i just commented in the other thread.
you can make it bigger. i run my at a bit over 1.25. and i wouldnt think thwice about going even bigger.
you could last do this. make the box bigger so you dont have to worry about the sub overhanging. then brace the ever-loving crap out of it on the inside to bring the inside airspace back down to where you want it.
here's some pics of the box i built for mine.

correct. the bigger the box the less "air suspension" so i has more excursion. thats why "SQ" specs from the manufacturer are bigger. the spl specs are smaller because with more suspension will take more power before hitting its full excusion
that box is 14.5 tall
