okay here's the deal
I had an EQ215ix that was for sale a few weeks ago- along with a 215 plexi & hardware
Bri (fellow member here on forum)- bought the eq and plexi
WELL unbeknownst to me (as i had never put the plexi on the EQ) and simply ASSUMING that the 215 plexi would fit the 215 EQ I sold it as a pair/set
Well, guess what??!?!? it doesnt fit...
See pic's- AND now i am curious as to whether or not anyone knows what he dealio is behind this not lining up with the screw holes- It is my understanding that the plexi was/is OEM- BUT could there be the possibility that some EQ215's were different size(s)....? I would have to say no to that "off the cuff" b/c i have swapped covers before and never had an issue- sold just metal covers/bases and never had trouble
WTH - WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS- ???
obviously i will have to work this out with bri to his satisfaction- BUT i just cant wrap my head around it.
Pls thx
matt

I think that plexi is for a 215, not a 215ix.
The ix is newer and uses the plastic mounting feet. The top edges are curved, which probably required moving the screw holes in closer. The older 215 is a more basic squared off cover.

I agree. I think etching would actually look even better than the cut out.ttocs wrote:have you considered etching the plexi with the logo rather then cutting it? It would be alot easier to do and still look nice. I know we all want the OEM look but....
